KICK BACK AND GIVE BACK

Pride Month is upon us and we are SO excited!!!

This month, we’re supporting an amazing charity called GLSEN, and YOU can help us out!

GLSEN was founded in 1990 by a group of teachers that recognized the importance of supporting LGBTQIA+ youth… most specifically in the context of public schools.

This group does everything from author resources for educators, to developing comprehensive policies that protect LGBTQIA+ youth.

They’ve fought discriminatory legislation in over 15 states (can you guess which? 👀) and have brought RECORD support to legislation to protect LGBTQIA+ youth, like the Safe Schools Improvement Act and the Student Non-Discrimination Act.

Now, they coordinate a network of 43 chapters in 30 states across the nation… but clearly the work is far from done.

Legislators across the country have submitted over 240 anti-LGBTQIA+ bills SO FAR THIS YEAR… the lion share of these bills have targeted queer youth, specifically.

Groups like GLSEN are an absolutely necessary force against the wave of regression that’s hitting the country.
